World Hoop Day be happening every year until the 12th December 2012!
On that day we want the entire population of our fragile planet to pick up a hoop and flow together in harmony.
This year's event took place on 9th September.

It was organised by the very capable Tracey Chin who is part of the London Hula Hoopers group on Facebook.
People gathered at Wellington Arch and then made their way to Trafalgar Square for a collective hoop at 9pm.
There are videos on Youtube showing the gathering and one of these was shown as video of the day on Hooping.org.

The hoop community is growing rapidly and Hoopswhirled is proud to be a part of such an eclectic, vibrant and powerful movement towards health, happiness and joy.

World Hoop Day is a global hoop happening: All around the world hoop ambassadors distributed hoops to as many people as possible with the shared goal of educating and encouraging children everywhere to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle by providing quality hula hoops and instruction.

World Hoop Day aims to reach out to children of diverse backgrounds and cultures who may be living in poverty, offering opportunities for experimentation and play and a safe arena where they can share ideas and use their imagination.
