Hoopswhirled - every new movement starts with a revolution!

HOOP EVENTS IN 2011

Hooping is really getting into the groove and there is even MORE happening all over the UK this year. Workshops, playshops, retreats and other excitement awaits!

Keep an eye on the Hoopswhirled website for news of classes and events during the year.
The Hoopdance Experience is currently on hold due to other commitments, I will be organising some Hoopswhirled workshops a little later this year.

Visit our sister site: www.nakedhoops.co.uk for "naked" hoops you can decorate yourself.

Once again the start of the year was cold, but, undaunted we continued into the wetter and slightly warmer Spring and Summer. I'm delighted that hooping continues to be popular, and there are new enthusiasts appearing every week!

Hoopswhirled now has courses running in Hornsey, Ilford and City Lit (Covent Garden), with other locations still awaiting confirmation. 2011 has been pretty busy so far, despite the weather!
Our regular Thursday drop-in class is still running in Woodford, although there is no class on 25th August or 1st or 7th September.
My Tuesday evening class at The Third Space in Piccadilly is still going strong. Although numbers are limited, we rock out with our hoops for a sweaty 45 minutes on an amazing glass floor!

Although Christabel Zamor, aka Hoopgirl, had to change her plans for 2011, which meant we were not graced with her magical presence this year, she is now offering Teacher and Performance training online. No travel costs and lots of information, ideas and encouragement. Please visit her website if you are interested in getting some training direct from Hoopgirl: www.hoopgirl.com.

The UK Hoop Gathering ran for three amazing weekends this Summer. I use the term "Summer" very loosely as we really haven't been blessed with much good weather this year. Details and other information on next year's plans are to be found on the UK Hoop Gathering website.

If you want to get to an event during the gloomy Winter months, consider going to one of the two SWhoop weekends being held in Bristol in November of this year. Visit the SWhoop website for dates and plans so far. Last year was intense and amazing - and the food was really good!

Hoopswhirled continues to be involved with projects to inpire children of all ages to be more active. There will be more available this year and we are looking forward to developments!

For more details about hoop happenings during the year - please check our Calendar page.

Our regular monthly Sunday Hoop Club continues to attract hoopers from near and far and celebrates its third
anniversary in February 2011! As with all hoop gatherings, people are encouraged to come and share space with one another and explore possibilities, whether for fitness, spiritual growth or just for fun. We can all learn from each other!

Other events are listed on our Calendar and on our London Hula Hoopers page on Meetup.com.

It is great playing our part in the growth of hooping during 2011 - check back regularly for details of other 2011 hoop events!
